Ellie Dickens

I am an illustrator and artist living in the Yorkshire Dales with my gorgeous border collie Daisy. I love to explore storytelling in my paintings and I'm always challenging myself with whatever work comes my way.  I started off drawing or painting animals from a simple love of them, I particularly like to use British wildlife as my focus. I also started on pet portraits by request and now really enjoy the challenge of capturing an individual animals personality, and seeing what brilliant photos I get sent! 

My pet portraits have recently appeared in House and Garden magazine and on t-shirts via The Virtual Run Company to help raise money for the British Dalmation Welfare charity. Aside from pet portraits, I have worked on digital art commissions including board game artwork, event designs and illustrations for a garden designer who has won gold awards at RHS shows. If you have visited Bolton Abbey over the past few years you may have seen some of my work on their seasonal trails too. Most recently I've been invited to exhibit at Art in the Pen and Crafts in the Pen 2021/22.
